Welcome to The Cheese Impresario!

Here we are going to talk about all kinds of cheeses from all around the world.  We will learn together and I will help you bring the world of cheese closer to your heart and learn the great enjoyment that it can bring to you, your family, and your guests.

I am the cheese columnist for The Beverly Hills Times and write the monthly "Cheese Matters" column that covers all things cheesy.  I will keep you posted on events that I will be covering and other cheese events in your local area.  Stay tuned for the next up coming event!

The American Cheese Society 25th Annual Competition Winners

Wow!   There were 1,149 American Artisanal Cheeses entered in the most grueling of cheese competitions.   Wisconsin Master cheesemaker, Sid Cook from Carr Valley Cheese Company was awarded Best in Show and he was also awarded Third Best in Show.   This dual win has never happened in the 25 year history of this amazing organization.  I was there to witness this historic event and to taste myself silly.  The American Cheese Society Conference will be in Austin, Texas in August 5-8 2009.  I’d highly recommend this if you want to learn more about and have the opportunity to taste a plethora of beautiful cheeses.  It is a total blast.

Scroll down through the three pages of judging copy and you’ll locate the list of winners.
